Secret City - Where it all Began
Secret City was the first painting that I created when I picked up a paint brush for the first time after a decade. It holds such a special place in my heart. This artwork is a testament to my growth as an artist, it tells a story of trial and error, it wears the scars of an amateur artist. During the process of painting this artwork, using a small needle to add very fine highlights on the river of cities, a small hole was made in the canvas. After my immediate devastation over the unfortunate accident I soon realised that the light passing through the canvas brought the light of the city to life. And thus started the intentional destruction of this artwork turning a accident into something beautiful.

The Violent Drop
This piece to this day remains the most loved of all of my art. Combining my new love for monochromatic art and my favourite mythical creature, this piece forms an intense scene and represents the fear of falling in life.

Enamoured
This piece represents my love for the written word. This was the first piece that would not leave my mind from a series that sparked my love of reading once again, the starlight that led me down the painted hall. Enamoured is the last of the core four that built the foundations of Painted Chapters, this piece now bears an open wound from an unfortunate accident at an event and now she has a scar.
As much as we love Enamoured, we now have an understanding about licensing within the creative world and it has been discontinued.

Just a stag
The white stag in folklore represents the bridge between the mortal realm and the fairy otherworld, but for me it has the representation of beauty in mythical creatures within folklore but for each person it resonates with something different.

Nightmare Before Her
When I first started to paint this piece, I wanted to understand the human physique and to grow my skills in creating those contours and planes. Once I began to paint him, the idea that formulated in my mind I wanted to continue painting from the written world.
Although we love Nightmare Before Her, we now have an understanding about licensing within the creative world and he has been discontinued.

A Court For Dreamers was the first ever private commission, for a good friend of mine to have herself in her beautiful formal dress painted into a scene from one of her favourite book series. It was also my first time ever experimenting with colour.

Phases has a huge part of my soul because Sarah A Parker herself revealed the painting at my first ever event as a vendor. This piece is a bigger moment that lives rent free in my mind because when Sarah unveiled it, she and I were so emotional - her words were “You don’t understand what this means to me, you’ve literally painted a scene from the second book!”.

This piece is from a series called To Bleed A Crystal Bloom by Sarah A Parker, and I was commissioned by Lisa from the soft buttery PJ land that is Lit Lines for her Moon & Bloom collection where she wanted to put this piece of art on the front of the long sleeves top! It was the second time I had the chance to play with colours a little more and I was working on this piece while over in Thailand so she’s been international!

The Cloud Series
Night & Light was the first of the three part cloud series where it represents the dance of love between two opposing forces.
Into Darkness is the second part of this series and is a tribute to my sister Sacha Dench, who is a conservationists who follows the path of swans across Europe and it represents the view from the sky but with a fantasy twist.
Northern Wings is the third part of this series and I was feeling at trying my hand creating aurora borealis.
